Course 12 – Reducing Disablist Bullying: Disabilities, the Equality Act and Schools Duties

Description

This training course supports schools to reduce disablist bullying by meeting the disability duties in the Equality Act and to prevent discrimination and bullying of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). It takes approximately 3 hours to complete.

You will be asked to complete a survey at the end of the course and will receive a CPD certificate upon completion. Your certificate will remain in the ‘My trainings’ section of the e-learning platform and you can click on the pink tick to download it at any time.

By the end of this training course participants will have a greater understanding of:

  • Disability, difference and the links with bullying
  • Provisions of the Equality Act 2010 regarding disability and schools duties
  • What schools need to do to meet their duties and prevent discrimination and bullying
  • How to ensure the values are embedded across the whole school community.
